Compact Line measurements in ASCII through the serial port

Our Compact Line sensors can be configured to run in ASCII mode, where measurements are written in plain text to the serial port. Commands can be sent to the sensor to enable (ASON) and disable (ASOFF) this feature. When not enabled, the sensor will output binary data which must be interpreted. Please consult our Compact Line manual for more information.

Multiple software solutions exists for serial port communication, but below we list some free software:

The Compact Line sensor communicates at 38400 bps (unless changed) and uses 8 data bits, no parity and 2 stop bits.

How to measure on hot targets

Our sensors are made to measure on extremely hot targets up to 2.200ºC / 3992ºF.
